About Ganit Pravinya/Pradnya (Mathex) Exam
The Mathex Exam, conducted by the Ganit Adhyapak Mandal, is one of the most respected mathematics exams that focuses on analytical ability and written problem-solving skills.For more information visit www.mgam.co.in
🔹 Two Levels of the Exam:
- Ganit Pravinya (Mathex Level-1)
- Ganit Pradnya (Mathex Level-2)
Level 1: Ganit Pravinya (Mathex Level-1)
- Conducted for students of 5th & 8th Standard
- Held every year on the first Sunday of December across Maharashtra
- Duration: 3 Hours (12 PM to 3 PM)
- Total Marks: 100
Question Pattern:
- Total 30 questions (subjective)
- Questions include:
- 2 marks – 7 questions
- 3 marks – 10 questions
- 4 marks – 9 questions
- 5 marks – 4 questions
Students must write complete step-by-step solutions, not just answers.
Level 2: Ganit Pradnya (Mathex Level-2)
- Conducted for students qualified from Ganit Pravinya
- Held on the first Sunday of February
- Duration: 2 Hours (12 PM to 2 PM)
- Total Marks: 100
Question Pattern:
- Total 20 subjective questions
- Marks distribution:
- 3 marks – 3 questions
- 4 marks – 3 questions
- 5 marks – 8 questions
- 6 marks – 3 questions
- 7 marks – 3 questions
Question paper itself acts as the answer sheet, where students must write detailed explanations below each question.
